The Brazilian Cashew Nut kernel's quality specifications are determined by the
AFI (Association of Food Industries, New York). The latest adopted
specifications are from October 1997 and can be obtained directly from the AFI

The AFI also produces a specification for Brazil Nut Kernels. However, the
UQS (Unified Quality Specification) is more commonly used by European
importers.
The AFI does not have contract terms per se for tree nuts. European traders
